07 Feb Pawling Rotary Holds a “Get to Know Us” Luncheon at Lathrop in January

The Pawling Rotary Club held a “Get to Know Us” luncheon on January 28th at Lathrop at Lakeside, for community members who have expressed interest in learning more about the Club and its commitment to service. Among the topics discussed were the many large and small events and projects that fill the yearly calendar, and information about the local and international organizations receiving supportthrough the Club’s annual gifts, grants and scholarships. Additional information about Rotary International and its foundation, which supports health initiatives worldwide for vulnerable families and particularly women and children, was also shared.

Eleven guests, along with twenty-six Rotarians, were in attendance. Guests included Danielle Anderson, Ravinder Bhangu, Maria D’Amore, Pauline DelRosario, Mike Dora, Julia Harrer, Kieth Johnson, Laura Schek, James Thomas, Diana Tomassetti, and Dorian Winslow. Lunch was provided by McKinney &; Doyle Fine Foods. Rotary president Medina Khalil welcomed everyone and spoke about the Club and its mission to serve the Pawling community and its children, specifically. A visual presentation produced by Rotarian Nick Madeo of Madeo Multimedia accompanied Ms. Khalil’s presentation. Lively conversation filled the room as desserts prepared by Rotarian Stacy Cyrwus and Ms. Khalil were served. The event was co-chaired by Ms. Khalil and Susan Stone.
