For Music Lovers Visiting Pawling

Pawling and the Hudson Valley have a lively music scene that includes a variety of concert venues featuring both local musicians and nationally acclaimed performers. (A few music legends even have homes here.)   Here are a few favorite places to visit for music lovers.

Places to Eat (and Listen)

Daryl’s House Club

This venue, owned by local resident Daryl Hall (yes, THAT Daryl Hall), hosts an eclectic line-up of musicians and bands, and you can get a great dinner here too. If you’ve ever seen the show, “Live From Daryl’s House”–that is the inspiration behind this great venue.  Check out their website for tickets to their complete line-up of evening shows, featuring well-respected musicians and excellent tribute bands.  They also offer brunch on Sundays and Saturdays, featuring free concerts by local musicians.

Annual Concert Series

Pawling Concert Series

This concert series has been coming to the Trinity Pawling campus for over fifty seasons now, and features renowned musicians and performers from around the world.  Their season runs from fall through the spring, and the line-up includes a variety of musical genres.  Check out their website for performance dates and more information.

Music by the Lake

This free concert series comes back every summer to Lakeside Park! Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic for a fun and free night out, sponsored by the Town of Pawling Recreation Department.  Don’t be surprised if the music inspires an impromptu dance party on the Great Lawn!  Check out the complete summer line-up at pawlingrec.com.

Beyond Pawling

The Towne Crier Cafe, Beacon, NY.

This excellent concert venue has deep roots in Pawling, because it was at the current Daryl’s House location for many, many years, before pulling up stakes and heading to Beacon. Beacon is a relatively short drive from Pawling and is a thriving little town with lots of fun places to shop and eat. You could even make a day of it and check out the Dia Beacon Museum or Bannerman’s Castle first, and then stay for dinner and a show at the Crier. To see their complete line-up of shows on their multiple stages, check out their website here: https://townecrier.com/

Tilly Foster Farm (Tilly’s Table), Southeast, NY

Just a few miles south of Pawling in Southeast, Tilly Foster Farm hosts a fun outdoor summer concert series,  featuring popular nationally known tribute bands.  To see what’s on the schedule or to buy tickets, visit their website at https://www.tillystablerestaurant.com/news-and-events.
